“Working with and for artists is key, I see my role as supporting their vision and growth. I’m a sounding board where I ask the important questions and make things happen. My writing serves the purpose of reflecting on the now and imagining into the future in thinking about the experiences of a global African diaspora. As well as creating memory and legacy for the artists I work with, it is an opportunity to ensure they are embedded in an art historical canon, which historically excluded many.”
